hi,

perhaps someone already played with this tiny but great software. it streams mp3 audio, mp4 audio & video, mov-files and h.264 (AVC). its kinda open source and binaries available for mac, linux and windows.

i tried it first on a normal win2k prof client and after some google-searches everything i need was installed. after setting up, everything works as intented. if i want to access a playlist i just access rtsp://<address>/<mountpoint>, if enabled i can access any file hosted on the server using rtsp://<address>/<path_to_filename.ext>.
a user authenitification is included and works directory-based.

if i use the same settings on Linux Debian stable, everything looks like working but if i want to access a playlist the client (windows xp prof) disconnects after some time.
in the server admin i can see that the playlist gets accessed but it shows too that no data has been transferred.

there is no firewall, router or any other filter between server and client(s).
the client isnt the problem, it played streamed videos without any problems - if its a Windows DSS.

Do i need a special library or something to get this working on linux?

Didn't found a solution for this on the net, just found others with the same problem. hope someone can help. thanks!

greets
