subtitles out of sync

Hi,i'm using dif4u 1.4.0 and i have this problem.Sometimes on some ntsc movies,not all movies, after demuxing,the subtitles are out of sync by a few seconds.what could be the problem here?is it vobsub? is it dif4u?
do i have to make some extra settings in dif4u or any other program that it uses?
Please,if someone knows this problem and has a solution for it,please post here.Thank you
