Hi guys,
Im trying to convert a AC3 5.1 file into a WM9 PRO 5.1 file to play on the xbox360. Everytime i try to do this in windows media encoder it says the input file is invalid. How can i do this?
:thanks:

You have to create an avisynth script to feed it to the WMEncoder :
NicAC3Source("input.ac3")
Then load it by choosing "All Files" in the drop-down list when you open a file...

thanks for the reply, but im totally lost with this.
I have installed AVIsynth, i just need to know exactly how to write the script file for WMEncoder.
I have the file located at c:\audio.ac3
i tried NicAC3Source("c:\audio.ac3") and loaded it into WMEncoder as the source file , and it said "no such interface supported"
What is the exact script i need use?
Thanks again for the help

Your script seems correct...It's WMEncoder the culprit. Go here (http://nic.dnsalias.com/wm9enc.html) and download WMNicEnc.
Load it and uncheck "Use Video". Should be ok after this...

thanks mate , it works fine with a AC3 sample i have now. But the AC3 file i want to encode is reported as invaild. I have ran it through AC3fix and other programs and they report no errors. It also plays fine in MPC and WMP :(
