When I try to open Rebuilder I get the message: "Failed to load control 'Treeview' from MSCOMCTL.OCX. Your version of MSCOMCTL.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control yhat was provided with your application". I have tried copy the version provided to System32 and registered it (regsvr 32), but no luck. Any ideas?

It's possible it may have been corrupted. You may want to try downloading and installing Rebuilder again.

I have tried it 3 times (2 different versions) including safe mode.

Yes, Home Edition.

please... on Rebuilder's intalation folder you'll find that OCX file... delete it and reinstall Rebuilder using the Installer.
edit: better... just replace the OCX on Rebuilder's folder with this one on the ZIP file:
http://rockas.oniduo.pt/MSCOMCTL.zip
Please note... use the file on the ZIP to replace MSCOMCTL.OCX that is on Rebuilder's Installation folder

It gets installed in the directory with REBUILDER.EXE.

Download the zip version only from any of your last emails and extract it to your Rebuilder folder. Should work. Otherwise, you got a driver conflict somewhere - look to newly installed programs - or a virus.

Hello, I just installed the program, having the same problem with the file. I can't even register. Reinstalled the program, also the zip version and no success. Ran the antivirus but i don't know how i can find the driver conflict. Any help please

Make sure you run it with administrative privileges the first time. Lots of odd virtualization going on in Vista.

Just reinstalled everything, version 1.273 from Zip and ran it as administrator.
No luck

On Vista I installed DVD rebuilder in another folder other than the normal program files folder, due to file protections.
So I have it installed it like this on Vista
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\Program Files\DVD-RB PRO

You said you "can't even register" -- what happens when you try?

The MSWINSCK.OCX missing error appears.

Have you tried registering it? From the CMD window, type in these commands (assuming the path is correct):
regsvr32 "c:\program files\dvd-rb pro\mswinsck.ocx"
regsvr32 "c:\program files\dvd-rb pro\mscomctl.ocx"
Actually you shouldn't have to do this if the OCX is in the directory withe the EXE... but XP can sometimes be inconsistent.

Did what you said, a window appears saying that the complement has been correctly registered, but when i want to run rebuilder i get the same error. This is very weird.

Look for MSCOMCTL.OCX and MSWINSCK.OCX in your SYSTEM32 directory and if they exist, replace them with the ones provided by DVD-RB. It's possible you may have an old version that is interfering.
