plz, how to force ffdshow to decode the audio in every VIDEO files, lilke AVI files? :sly:
I like the normalize feature and other audio filters, when I install ffdshow on clean windows, the audio decoder is there, but I'm using Winamp along with K-Lite Mega Codec 1.59 + WMp11
for sure there is somethin' decoding my video files audio rather than ffdshow audio decoder
I went to the window of Audio Decoder and made the mp3 decoder to lbamad and other decoders but , the icon which indicate that ffdshow is decooding the audio in the tray of taskbar didn’t appeared, (Only the icon of Video decoding)
I like ffdshow decodes all my Integrated audio in video files
:D

well, find out what other filter is in use. Fire up media player classic and see what decoder is listed in the filter submenu.

MPC has internal transform filters.
Please disable them if you want to use ffdshow audio codecs.

works like hell, now even when I play with BS Player, the ffdshow audio decoder
thanx again
and while I'm playing in the options of MPC, I found the NORMALIZE and BOOST option! which is why I originally wanted the ffdshow to decode my AVI audio ;)

and why I can't see the normalize option anymore in ffdshow audio decoder?!
btw I'm using May 22 2006 SSE ffdshow, MPC v6.4.9.0
:thanks:

Their versions are just outdated. CLSIDs builds are always up to date and are probably compiled better as well (even if he does include them in a certain codec pack :P)

wow! that's really a shoclng news coz I've bin quite long time using thier builds, sorry clsid
anyone provide me with the latest vesion with working link to download, I'm dying to get it, sourceforge link is down
[EDIT]
my requiremtns in any ffdshow version is the GENERIC approach in that it works virtually on every PC and CPU regardless they have a MMX or SSE Processes or not
coz I kinda scared when it comes to a MMX version and NON-MMX CPU computer?! what will happen?

in case of a instruction set mismatch it will either refuse to start up or randomly crash when it asks the CPU to do something it doesn't know how to.
Did you look at the list of CLSID's files there? You picked the oldest one of the lot ;) Try this: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ffdshow-tryout/ffdshow_rev420_20061020_clsid.exe?download

I C, O'right I need NO-MMX NO-SSE in order to work on every expected PC (I'm putting AVI Movies on CDR with ffdshow and gave them to my friends, so I don't like one of them complaining or stuff ;) )
the Link is down, mirror plz :)

My builds work on Pentium1 MMX CPUs and anything that is newer. There is not a single ffdshow build that I know of that works on CPUs without MMX. Probably because no sane person would even attempt to use ffdshow on a <100 Mhz CPU.
Some of the sourceforge mirrors seem to be having some troubles today. Try again tomorrow or check the ffdshow discussion topic for more links.

aha, you meant that MMX is SAFE to be used on every PC
and for sure I'll try again DLing from sourceforge, but I'm asking your kindness to give me a working mirror
