Sharktooth's x264 - uninstall before installing new version?

Okay, so the instructions to do that are pretty clear in the sticky thread but how exactly do I do so? There is no uninstaller.

The only thing I can do is delete or overwrite the old .exe with the new one I've downloaded.

That warning is for the older versions that came with an installer.
