Hi all,

What I am trying to do is similar to what you see on commercial DVDs - the video sequence with the Studio logo and/or Piracy warning messages when the DVD is first inserted (usually they have it set so you cannot skip past it).

I have looked a a few products (incl. software I got with the burner), but I haven't found anything as yet that allows me to do this.

Does anyone of any software (preferably free), or any manual way that this can be achieved?

Many :thanks: in advance

Kind Regards

You can creat a simple one with MuxMan. Create a 720x480 .bmp file. Open it in MuxMan. Set it for the desired time. If you want, you can also add audio.

Hello, and welcome to the forum,

You already have the intro? It has to be authored into a DVD, with Muxman or some such. Then open the main DVD - the one to which you want to add the intro - in PGCEdit. Up at the top, go Title->Import First-Play (Startup) Clip and follow the easy instructions from there.

Thanks manono, that is EXACTLY what I needed. :) Wow I can't believe just how easy that was.

Thanks dialysis1 for your input. MuxMan will definitely come in handy for other projects for sure.

Big hugz to both of you! :D

Cheers

This is very interesting.
I've never used Muxman nor PGCEdit.

Is there a guide about making an intro vid with this programs?

Thanks :P

No. Muxman is an authoring program. PGCEdit can do a lot of things, but making videos isn't one of them. You make it yourself, and then use the 2 as described earlier.
