Can a project use NuMenu4U and then Rebuilder?

How much does the NuMenu and other required software to make it work cost?

that's possible ofcourse. Process the dvd with numenu first and after that continue with rebuilder. IIRC does RB have the possibillity to proces menus anyway. Could be that this is only the pro version though.

If you are using Numenu make sure you put Numenu into ReBuilder mode (see the help file). This will ensure that ReBuilder has a fully functional DVD to start with.

It uses Scenarist 2.6/7/3.0 or Muxman if you have donated to get the PRO version ($15)

Hi,
I have the Pro version of RB.

RB doesn't have any special processes for menus.

Do I have to get Scenarist or Muxman seperately for RB to use it, or does RB have it built in or something?

Regards,
TBk

...RB doesn't have any special processes for menus...

It does, actually, and you don't need separate authoring applications; you should simply enable the feature:

DVD-RB menu Settings --> Enable Menu Encoding

If I may comment on this, even thought DVD-RB have its own menu encoding capabilities, I still prefere, normally, to preprocess my backups with NuMenu...

I think NuMenu gives the best option set to play with,
in order to find a good compromise between the reduction to
achieve and the video quality to keep...

Sometimes this compromise is not easy to obtain due to the
specific characteristics (and the low bitrate, usually) to start with...

Sir Didymus: you're absolutely correct. It probably depends on what TomBrooklyn wants to achieve.

It probably depends on what TomBrooklyn wants to achieve.
Usually, I want to achieve freeing up more room for the main movie. I don't usually care about the visuals of the menu much but I want it to work. I have been using MenuShrink lately which stills the menu and can either leave or remove the audio. Usually I leave the audio as that doesn't take up much space and it adds ambiance.

I wonder how much space NuMenu4U can recover compared to MenuShrink.

Cheers.

I wonder how much space NuMenu4U can recover compared to MenuShrink.not as much :p

menushrink reduces motion menus to a single still. numenu re-encodes the motion menu at a lower bitrate than the original ... so even though you can reduce the menus size considerably using numenu (and factor in numenu removing warnings etc) , a motion menu could never "compete" with a still menu in terms of size.
I have the Pro version of RB.

Do I have to get Scenarist or Muxman seperately for RB to use it, or does RB have it built in or something? i think you may be confusing the two programs here.

there is a pro version of dvd-rb
there is also a pro version of numenu4u

the pro version of numenu4u gives you option of using muxman (free and pro versions as well) and scenarist to re-author your menus, the free version only uses scenarist to reauthor (well it did last time i checked :) )
