Hi,
I have a few cartoons on DVD and I'd like to transfer to SVCD. Does anyone here have experience on this ? Are there any "specific settings" in DVD2SVCD that work well with cartoons ?
I tried my "usual movie" settings, i.e CBR 2500kbs with Temporal Smoother 2,1, and I get about 40 minutes per CD, but I can notice some "moiré" effects in some "uniform color" zones.
This is of course often the case with old cartoons (old hand-made Disneys ). It is not the well known MPEG block effects , it's more like the kind of effect you have if you try to display for example a blue sky on a 256 color monitor, kind of "palette" effect.
I hope I am clear enough, so if someone has experienced great settings for cartoons (bitrate, AViSyng settings, CCE parameters), please let me know (man, I have a 7 year old daughter I wouldn't want to disappoint on this!)
thanx a lot
