WMV Info Tool?

I've searched around but had no luck.

What tool do I use to get WMV info? I need to know the audio and video footage details inside WMV containers. I would like to get all possible technical information.

Thanks - actually I did find it a bit difficult. The ASFViewer isnt on the wme page, nor is it on the wme tools page. Googling wmv info and searching doom9 did not get relevant hits. It wasnt obvious I need to look in the format section.

Wasn't he asking about stream info in ASF containers only?

Are you looking for more information than is provided by rightclicking on the file, selecting "Properties", and then clicking on the "Summary" tab?

Basically as part of the testing I'm doing with Vista and XBOX360 encodes, I want to know the audio and video codecs inside the WMV test containers. I want to know the settings used in those codecs. The ASF viewer isnt very helpful with that.

It will tell you which video and audio codecs are used because every video and audio stream must be identified with a FourCC code and audio tag number.
Finding out encoding settings is more difficult since that data is not typically stored in the metadata in any verbose manner.
