Hi all,
I have strange problem with deinterlacing this material which source is DVB. The main problem is the edges.
Usually I am using TomsMoComp but this time it falls :)

Any sugestions?

here is source sample (http://s3b4.internetdsl.pl/sample.mpg)

It's not interlaced, so you can't deinterlace it.

If you look at the raw pictures, you'll see that the triangular logo is fine; its edges are crisp. But the video itself is aliased. I don't see much you can do.

So you are trying to say it's a progressive logo applied to interlaced source?

So you are trying to say it's a progressive logo applied to interlaced source? No, it looks like the video is already deinterlaced by discarding a field and resizing, which makes it aliased. Then the logo was overlayed progressively.

When I say the video is not interlaced, I mean if you examine the fields individually, you do not have a new picture at every field. It is progressive but aliased (probably from bad deinterlacing).

Aliasing is often confused with combing, but they are not the same thing.

Sangnom can help with badly deinterlaced sources, as can Eedi2().Spline16Resize(width,height). Eedi2 would be my first choice, both should reduce the aliasing considerably.
