View Full Version : Yamb Crashes When Using MP4Box

Hi all. I'm trying to use Yamb to mux a raw *.264 file into an MP4, but Yamb keeps crashing when it opens MP4Box. I'm using MP4Box 0.4.0 -- a version that's worked for me before -- and Yamb 1.6. MP4Box simply won't accept this video... either in Yamb or outside it using the MP4Box command line. Neither gives me an error message that I can use as a starting point.

I was able to mux the video into an AVI using AVC2AVI, but I want the thing in an MP4. The video works fine, by the way, when viewed through the eyes of an AVI. But I want it to be an MP4. I tried using MP4Creator, but it didn't accept the video, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I've discovered that Yamb won't extract video and audio streams, either. I've tried it with two different videos now. It says "found MP4Box, extracting... etc." and then says it's done, but nothing actually happens. What gives? I tried using MP4Box outside of Yamb, and it didn't work there, either.

I'm sorry if this thread should be in the one about containers, but in the beginning I thought this was a Yamb problem... now it seems to be an MP4Box problem.

Do I need Service Pack 2 or something? I have .NET 2.0 installed.

Update your MP4Box build and Yamb version first. Then, how did you create this raw stream ?

Awesome! Apparently I just needed to update the version of MP4Box I was using. I didn't even know there was better version. I even checked. It stands to reason that my old site source was out of date. :)
