Does anyone know where there are any documents to introduce the syntax and sematics of mp4 file format.

BTW, when I want to stream a video file with the use of RTP, I have to hint this file. My question is that if I am allowed to packetize this video file into RTP packets according to my own manners in the mp4 container?

The MP4 file don't get streamed. The Elementary Streams(Tracks) will be streamed over rtp. Search for RTP/RTP Payload Format in google.

For ISMA compatible MP4 files the the IOD and BIFS/OD Track will be placed into the SDP file.

Complex BIFS Tracks will streamed like other Elementary Streams.
