subtitles+ players

I have over the hedge Xvid.... i can view it ok in PowerDVD 7 in full color... WMP half purple line across it. and BSplayer pro is all flicking..... whats wrong here. i also want to get the subtitles with it i downloaded them i want to see if they are sync with the movie b4 buring them to DVD to play on my DVD player......the video is in .avi file extension not sure if this is related to this

Hi!I have over the hedge Xvid....I'd normally suggest that you re-rip your original, commercial DVD - but I can't do that since the DVD hasn't been released yet...

The question itself makes it obvious that you don't own the original DVD, for a number of reasons. In this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=116433) you asked a question about a downloaded copy of a DVD, which is breaking forum rule #6 for the same reason. I'd suggest you re-read them, as well as this announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) located at the top of the Newbies sub-forum.

This question makes even less sense - are you saying that it must be released on DVD because you have a copy in MKV format?
