Hi,
I tried to do a full DVD9 backup of Curious george NTSC R1 using RipIt4Me. See
http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=72029
Has anyone done a successfull full DVD9 backup yet? If yes, how?

Hi!
1) Use Verbatim DL DVD+R media
2) If your burner doesn't automatically do so, apply bitsetting if available (so that the burned media "appears" to your player to be DVD-ROM rather than DVD+R)
3) Use IMGBurn for burning

@setarip_old
Already using Verbatim DVD+R DL media.
My burner supports bitsetting and it is currently marking the DL disc as DVD-ROM.
I burned with ImgBurn and the DVD does not play smoothly i.e. it pauses every couple of seconds.

Post a ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) burn log. No adhesive labels?
Sounds like a burning issue - thread transferred.

I burned with ImgBurn and the DVD does not play smoothly i.e. it pauses every couple of seconds.Is this your ONLY problem now? (Very different than the info in the link you provided in your first post to this thread).
If so, does the burned DVD play this way on your PC? On your standalone player? On a different standalone player?

Many programs optimize the layer break, which can cause this problem on multiple players. Compare the original break to the burn (anydvd). Also, what is your burner bit-set to? So far, with my set-up, the only program I've found that maintains the original layer break is CloneCD.

@CWR03
I 19:01:07 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: MKM-001-00) (Speeds: 2.4x)
I 19:44:41 Average Write Rate: 2,991 KB/s (2.2x) - Maximum Write Rate: 3,384 KB/s (2.4x)
As you can see the MAX speed in this case will be 2.4x

I ripped a perfect backup copy of this with ripit4me. No problems in the playback or anything. Cute movie too.
