failed burn again what the hell? (NERO)

I have been backing up my own movies for sometime now. A week or so ago I bought some new DVD-R. The problem is this...when my personal movies are done being run through DVD shrink and nero starts up to finish the burn I get an error, it reads "burn process failed at 4x (5,540 kb/s)"
Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR)
HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK)
TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUest)

Then we you get done reading the rules throw the new media away your burner doesn't like it.
