Hi all!
In Scenarist in Scenario Editor, if u click on a VTS u see in the properties window an option for Film mode or Camera mode.
Can someone explain to me what are those for and what are the differences?

Thanx!!!

The option is only available in PAL projects.

Camera mode - a temporal shift of 1/50sec between the odd and even fields (standard signal from video cameras).
Film mode - no temporal shift, each field of a frame is recorded at the same time (for progressive scan, e.g 24 full frame cinema movie brought to 25 frames by PAL speedup)

But what is the different results of using "Camera mode" and "Film mode"?

Do players behave differently based on that "Film camera mode" setting? (e.g. outputs interlaced or progressive signal?)
Since progressive flags and such are in the MPEG files, do they override the VTS setting?

Thanks Susana!

Also, this link (http://tallyho.bc.nu/~steve/palplus.html) might be of interest if you want to get more technical.
