I have struck a problem here and am totally stuck. I have backed up several movies in my collection so far, but had not used AutoGK for a while, and went to use it the other day, but when it reaches the point "demuxing and indexing" the program just stays there and does not proceed. I have left it for more than 24 hours with it going nowhere. It uses no system resources so im guessing its not doing anything. I tried reinstalling version 2.27, then upgraded to 2.33 beta, but it still wont go anywhere. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

Try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it if you haven't already done so.

I had already tried that, but i tried again, fully uninstalled, made sure the folder was gone, then reinstalled it all to a different drive to make sure there was no interference, still nothing. It still hangs. I tried converting a .mpg to a .avi, and that got further than that point, maybe it is just that particular dvd??

It's possible - it could be one with an advanced copy protection scheme. What is the DVD with which you were working (title and region), and do you have another non Sony, Universal or Disney title you can try?

I was trying matrix revolutions in region 4. I also tried Irobot, which also failed. The last movie to be successful was Underworld Evolution
