Will the Haali AQ patch be implemented again in future x264 builds, or is that it gone completely now?

I actually thought it was a brilliant little function, but if it's not coming back, then I guess I'll have to learn to do without it.

I still hold out hope for an eventual update or re-inclusion of tcplx_mask, which always gave me much better results. For a while I was adding and compiling it in myself, until the sources diverged and I dropped it. =\

rev.572 added --deadzone-inter and --deadzone-intra options which broke the aq patch. I fixed it and uploaded the newest revision here (http://x264.net/hpn/)with the aq patch applied (x264_aq.5-576.diff) if you still want to experiment.

Not tested and no guarantees it works properly (hopefully it still works fine).

EDIT: tested with --aq, also --aq plus the new --interlaced option, both seem to work fine. Also seems it's safer (for now) not to use b frames when using --interlaced and play the interlaced encode with mplayer

The website doesn't seem to be accessible from everywhere in the world. I can't access it from a french IP, an aussie IP works but not a US ip.
