Captured a couple of TV eps in hi-def using an ATI HDTV Wonder card. They were saved as .dvr-ms files which I converted to MPEG2 PS using DVR2MPG (http://watchhdtv.net/download.aspx).

I then did the following:
1) removed commercial and cut up MPEG file using mpg2cut2
2) ran the individual chunks through DGIndex to demux audio and generate d2v & AviSynth script
3) ran demuxed audio tracks through ac3fix
4) added necessary audio delay to ac3 files using delaycut
5) converted to DVD compatible video stream using HCEnc

I am now left with the following files:
6_01_01.ac3 6_01_02.ac3 6_01_03.ac3 6_01_04.ac3 6_01_05.ac3 6_01_06.ac3
6_01_01.m2v 6_01_02.m2v 6_01_03.m2v 6_01_04.m2v 6_01_05.m2v 6_01_06.m2v

How do I convert the above to DVD? I would like the DVD to have just one VTS and one PGC containing all 6 divisions but with one chapter allocated for each division. Thanks!

Hi!

Assuming that the .M2V files are DVD compliant, you could readily accomplish your project using "TMPGEnc DVD Author" v.1.6 (NOT v.2.0).

You can obtain a FULLY functional free 30 day trial version of this commercial program at:

I guess I should have asked, would there be a cheaper (*cough* free *cough*) way to accomplish this? I've already gone over my quota of expenses for this month. ^_^;;;

I guess you missed the part where I said:You can obtain a FULLY functional free 30 day trial version of this commercial program...

No, didn't miss it. But it's not free anymore once the trial period ends and someone's already installed it on this PC. ^_^;;;

You might want to look into the freeware version of "DVD Planner". You can download it from:

Yep, DVD Planner Basic's just perfect for what I need to do. It seems like it even has some options that I wasn't expecting from a freeware program. This, I'd gladly pay good money for (I knew I shouldn't have splurged on those RK boxsets). I'm off to experiment. Thanks for the tip!

I use ImagoMPEG-Muxer to do just that (m2v+ac3=mpg or vob).

Of course I feed it into TDA, but I'm sure there's other programs out there to author DVDs for free.

I like what DVD Planner looks like though! I might have to try it. =)

*** Also, for those of you who don't know.. TDA (both 1.6 and 2.1) cuts anywhere from 0 to 20 frames off the end of every video clip you import into it and mux with its audio. If you want to make sure you have EVERY frame accounted for.. I would mux it first using Imago. Just thought somebody might wanna know this! =)
