Alright im trying to rip some videos off my original dvd but for some reason my Dvd Burner refuses to read it. I tested another original Dvd and the same thing happened....the burner didnt read it. Then i tried my Backup Dvd and it worked fine.....in fact i tried all the Dvd-R dvds that i own and it worked fine on my burner....yet it still refuses to play the original dvds. Could Somebody help me to solve this problem?

Was your burner previously able to read commercial, pressed DVDs?

You might try running a DVD/CD cleaning diosc on the burner. Maxell makes one that sells for approximately $10US...

Yes it did....just 2-3months ago....and i was thinking EXACTLY what you were thinking, that maybe it needed to be cleaned....but i just wanted to know all the possibilities of what could have gone wrong.
