Hi all,

I already looked for other threads, and i found some but no one has that specific problem.

I record movies from TV with my TV-Card (HVR-3000 Hauppauge). If there are no errors while recording, i have no problem to use autogk. But if there is a little disturbance in the movie caused by a bad signal for example the Video and the Sound is asynchron after using autogk.

This disturbance is only 0.5 to 1 sec long. In the movie it looks like a little jitter for 1 sec.

But this is very strange for me because at the beginning of the coded .avi file the sound and video is synchron and during the movie it gets more and more asynchron and at the end there are nearly 30 sec between audio and video so what can i do against that?

You won't be able to use AutoGK. You can either edit around the bad point or encode on either side of it and join the two halves. You might try VirtualDub to record directly as it tends to yield better results and with fewer problems. There is a variant that works as a VCR to record automatically.

Load the file into VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or NanDub.
Set BOTH "Video"(VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and NanDub) and "Audio"
(VirtualDub and NanDub - VirtualDubMOD>"Streams>"Stream list") to "Direct Stream Copy".

A) If the difference between audio and video is constant throughout the

video:

From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" (For

VirtualDubMOD, rightclick on the listed audiostream and then select

"Interleaving")
Under "Audio skew correction", set an appropriate number of

milliseconds (positive or negative) in the box labelled "Delay audio track

by"
Save with a new filename

B) If the difference increases as the movie plays:

From under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate" - and

select "Change so video and audio durations match"
Save with a new filename
