I have made a iso using RipIt4Me, i used the iso mode so nothing from the disc was changed. Has anyone made a backup of this ?? and if so do i need to do a vobid demux and then untick ids 1->4 ??

I have read on this forum that it is a modified version of ripguard.

Heres the ifo layout incase no one has done it.

Hi!

You MAY find some useful information in this thread:

This is one of several threads that show up when you perform a search of the forums for "Inside Man"...

im not familiar with how ripit4me works.. i usually use pgcedit-pls2plugin wizard/dd/vobedit to rip clean up the disk. one of the steps gets rid of those small cells at the beginning. i have to play with ripit4me .

anywho...

i would suggest vobid-demux as the structure you have their will more than likely cause a huge audio desync if you do it by pgc-demux

Well with ripit4me i did'nt actually use any of the clean up options. I just used the iso mode which all it does really is create a psl file which it then loads into dvd decrypter then just decrypte as normal giving me a iso. The Reason i never used the file mode with any cleanup methods was because when i backed up fun with dick and jane i used the clean up option but once i had then demux, re-encoded, and reauthored the subs was way out of sync. Not sure if the cleanup method with ripit4me and fixvts had anything to do with it.

After doing it by vobid would you suggest i untick ids 1-4 in scenaid ?? i remember i had to do this on a old accros disc(layer cake if memory serves me correct.)

To make life easier I would suggest trying the cleanup methods. You'll run into audiosync and other problems less likely this way. I've used ripit4me a couple of times now and it works really well.

K, i'll give it a whirl and use fixvts. Just hoping the subs stay in sync on this one.

@influenza, seen as you have done a couple using ripit4me will i still need to do a vobid demux of anything special after ?? i ask as i have'nt backed up a proteched disc before. Last few backups i have done have'nt had any protection.

well it kinda depends on the ifo structure after ripping, hard to make a general statement on that. Although vobid rips are usually rare.

edit: typos. I don't want to many of those on post 2000 :)
