when i import things into avi demux, the color is always inverse. the exported filed is also inverse color. all editing with other programs such as virtual dub and meGUI works FINE.

why is this?

video->decoder option->swap u&v
does not work ?

i tried swapping the U and V like you suggested but it didnt work! i had to use a invert color filter to get the colors right.

the resulting file looks alright but i can tell that the color is still slightly off, because a filter had to do the work and its not the natural color tone.



i wonder why Avi demux does this to me? MEGUI and Virtual Dub both work fine with color. whats the problem?


EDIT:

i figured out the problem. my imported video was compressed with a lossless codec called huffyuv. i tried importing this clip into virtual dub, exporting as uncompressed, and then the uncompressed file had proper color in avi demux! very strange!
