ffdshow with WMP10 [Archive]

Can anyone please explain how to get FFDshow audio deocoder (specifically the matrix mixer) to work also when listening to wma and mp3 files. They seem to work only when decoding mpeg4 movies.

Are WMA and MP3 selected in the "Codecs" section of the "Audio Decoder Configuration" panel? (ffdshow won´t decode WMA9 Pro, voice or lossles).

for mp3 I tried both libmad and mp3lib, none seem to work.
for wma8/9 I tried libavcodec does not seem to work either.

THEN the ffdshow seems not having the proper merit(priority) to be used as the decoder for the formats when more filters are installed & competing.
Drag & Drop the source file to the graphedit and see what happens. You can also reconstruct the filter chain to use the ffdshow as decoder.
In most dsf capable players(MPC, BSPlayer,,) also, there are options to set the merits of the external ds filters.(I doubt WMP)
