deinterlacing

I have a quick question :

I got a rip of a movie and the rip is noticable interlaced.
Is there a way possible to deinterlace a divx ?
If so what software do i use for this ?

Btw, do you still have the VOB source,

If yes, it would be easier to re-encode it.
