My apologies if I'm rehashing a generic question, but I wasn't sure what to search for.

I've been using Nero Vision, but I'm unsatisfied with the choppy output video. What is a better solution? Looking for something simple like how DVD Rebuilder Pro is for backups.

Thanks!

I've found three tools that seem to do AVI/MP4/other to DVD encoding:

DIKO (http://www.vmesquita.com/en/diko.htm)
TheFilmMachine (http://members.home.nl/thefilmmachine/)
AVI2DVD (http://www.trustfm.net/divx/SoftwareAvi2Dvd.html)

These tools do exceptionally well if you have a single video file to be encoded to DVD. If you're looking to make an episodic DVD, you might have a harder time, as I have yet to find an automated tool that encodes each AVI to a separate title, all on one DVD. If anyone else knows of such a tool, I'd be appreciative for a link.

If you don't mind paying a bit and want a really good one click solution that can handle almost any single input file,

VSO convert to DVD is awesome and really fast.

FAVC does such a thing (without a menu). There's not support for mp4, but avi, mov and wmv should all work.
