XviD profiles are already available with MeGUI. Look under profiles\video in the MeGUI r00t directory. From the GUI:

C'mon, use s-e-a-r-c-h!
MeGUI expects the CQM in question inside a subfolder called extra. Either create that directory and put the CQM in there OR point MeGUI to where that CQM is on your PC. XviD Encoder Configuration -> Zones -> Other Options -> Quantizer Matrix.

If you are using profiles, depending on the profile you select, a certain CQM will be recommended. About which directory and what to do etc, read my previous post carefully. I already explained that. Search the forum to get links to various CQMs. Or if you have installed Koepi's XviD build, a bunch of CQMs should have been installed in a zip file along with the XviD installation itself. Didée's 6of9 should be in there.

Why not 6of9? And why resize down if you're going to use a detailed matrix? The point of resizing is to remove detail, the point of a high-bitrate matrix is to retain detail, two purposes at odds with each other.

Where is MeGUI looking for the extras folder?
I copied the matrices to
D:\Program Files\megui\tools\xvid_encraw\extra
I also tried
D:\Program Files\megui\extra
But I still get the error
"Error opening input file extra\....xcm"
Perhaps it is a bug?
I'm using Windows 2000.

Just extract them to wherever and manually set the correct path in the xvid codec config.

download @ http://www.x264.nl/ megui and install it in a new folder
run autoupdate and select the desired xvid profiles during installation. then it should work ...
you can also import the profiles manually

Have attached the XviD Presets...an XviD Presets Profile which is an overview of what the XviD Presets file contains in table/excel format...and of course have got the 6of9 by didee. Good luck.
This thread can probably be closed now if a mod agrees with me..Can someone please approve these attachments :p

Same problem here.
What's the default folder? It's kind of annoying to manually selct the matrix.

it is quite impossible.

Sharktooth, do you think it would be possible to include AutoGK's "ESS-based standalones" and "MTK/Sigma based standalones" standalone compatibility options in MeGUI's profiles?
Sharktooth

Dont know. Have to check what restrictions should be applied and if xvid_encraw have the right options to apply those restrictions.

Just an idea (not tested by me, yet). xvidencraw.exe searches for "extra\*.*" in the place he is situated, so we need to place "extra" folder near xvidencraw.
May it help to change version of xvidencraw used?
offtop:
Is there a package of megui with all additional programs, profiles in the right paths? It is license problem or something else to create such package?
