But yes, it supports SP2.

Will the free version support SP2

Probably not. The freeware version is only being updated with bug fixes, not improvements. The only exception is that I have added code for the next freeware release that automatically calls ImgBurn (if it's installed). The only reason I did that was because it just didn't seem complete without it.

I have just installed CCE SP2 Trial Version and DVD-RB Pro 1.10.8.

I reduced the size/bitrate of a VOB with the new beta Segment Viewer, saved the settings, however the *.m2v was encoded at the original datarate, irrespective of the settings by the Segment Viewer.

Something wrong with the *.ecl?

Edit: Seems to be an issue with the scaling between the bitrate from the Segment Viewer and what is written into the *.ecl. (ve_VBR_brate=avg_idx), etc.

I'll take a look at it. There was a fix in v1.10.7 for that same symptom...

Sorry to say, Jerry, no. I've informed you about this after the release of 1.10.7, therefore there can't be a fix for this version.

Just checked it again with 1.10.8 and I can confirm that ecl won't be updated.

Here's the line from the log for v1.10.7 (even the misspelling):

- Corrected ECL updating routines in the Segement Editor/Viewer for SP2 files.

Anyway -- I'll look at it again.

Ok -- just fixed it. Silly mistake. I'll do some tests tomorrow just to be sure.

I also found another undersizing error that can occur when a source has unreferenced cells. It doesn't happen often -- but I found it on at least one NTSC disc.
