Since we can transfer AC3/DTS stream from PC to Audio equipment to decode, I wonder whether there is any way to do the same for video. For example, if we have a Mpeg2 stream file in a computer, can we transfer this stream into a DVD player to play it? (Of course I am not saying bruning it into a DVD+/-R.) This is not DVI, since DVI transfer the uncompressed video signal and the computer does the decoding stuff. I think my idea of transfering compressed video into a HD/DVD player is superiorer than DVI if we only consider the playback of HD/DVD fromat in a computer. There shouldn't be any technical problem with this, but I have never seen this.
