I have a few old VHS tapes I want to digitize.
I have a Winfast TV2000 XP TV card.
I know I can either use Winfast PVR or Virtualdub to capture to video through the TV card.
I tried it 4 times.
The first time I used the Winfast PVR and saved it as a MPEG-2. The sound and video are not near as good as the VHS
The second time I saved it as a WMV and it was about the same.
The third time I tried Virtualdub. Under compression I used Xvid but it crashed when I tried to capture it.
The fourth time I used Virtualdub and used Divx. It worked but the voice didn’t match up.
What format/settings/ect can I capture these at to at least keep the quality the same as the VHS?
If it matters.. Its not really necessary to make these files compatible with DVD players. All I want to do save these to a data DVD.
Thanks
