A relaxed UDF 1.02 format supporting longer title names?

I noticed when ripping a dvd, I will get a full folder name on my drive, (example: Charlie_&_the_Chocolate_Factory) But when burning it back to DVD, Nero will only allow 16 characters as a disk name ( Charlie_&_the_Ch ) :confused:
If all standard DVD video is UDF 1.02, How is it Deluxe Video can burn a full title name to the disk, but I can't?
Is there a relaxed standard that Nero simply doesn't support?
