encode multiple files with tmpgenc

Hi, I got a lot of small files that I want to convert from asf to mpeg1. Is there a way to put them all in a list so tmpgenc encodes them one after the other without me having to hit some buttons everytime? Or is there another program that is capable of that?

Yes there is. TMPGEnc has a batch mode. When you have the first file all set to go, instead of pressing START, go to the file menu and select "Add current project to batch list" and select the file type. You can do this as many times as you need to, and when you are ready to encode, press CONTROL-B to open the batch window, and press RUN to start encoding.

After the batch encoding starts, there is a check box in the main window to allow you to shut off the computer when the batch is done, handy even if you are encoding one file.

TMPGEnc will display the batch log after completion, if the computer powers down, it will show the log the next time you run the program.
