View Full Version : Out of disk space error. Can I go back to Rebuild?

Hi,
I'm really new at this so please bear with me. Using free version of DVD Rebuilder. Ran Prepare & Encode, but when I ran Rebuild, I didn't realize the partition I was on was almost out of space. So I got an error msg and DVD Rebuilder shut down.
Question is, if I copy the files to a larger partition, can I set Rebuilder to use the files it already created and just hit Rebuild? Or do I have to go through the whole encoding process again?
Thanks

Yes, as long as it is just the rebuild and not reencode. You could also enable the "Output Directory" and just set it to a different path.

Hi gtrjunkie and welcome to the forum.
The only thing you have to do, under Mode tick "enable output directory" and set the output path to your larger partition => then click Rebuild.
Edit: @jdobbs
This is an example why I'ld like to see if your online and just replying... :p ;)

Thanks for the quick replies.
But my problem is DVD Rebuilder shut down after the error. Now when I start it up, I can't figure out how to get it to "see" the files it already created in the Encode process. I point to the directory they are in, but get an error msg that the directory does not contain DVD material.

You have to set both source and working path to the original directories.
Edit: And of course you have to untick "one click mode" as well, otherwise you'ld start from the beginning.

If you already tried clicking BACKUP (rather than going to 3 click mode and pressing REBUILD) once after restarting its too late to continue -- the files have been cleared.

OK, that was it!
The mistake I was making, was pointing the Source Path to the where the working files were, rather than the original source of the DVD material.
Per suggestion, I also changed the output path to the larger partition. Once I did all that, I was able to hit Rebuild and everything went smoothly.
Thanks again.
