after putting subtittles on a movie my original file size grew from 699mb to a massive 45.3 gb can anyone help me with ffdshow problem ?

It would help if you:
1) listed the procedure in detail with which you created this massive file
2) post in the appropriate forum (This one is for problems or suggestions with the web site itself). Ask a mod to move your post instead of re-posting it elsewhere.

Baiser, as check said, the compression mode may be the problem.
I would actually suggest, you keep the subtitles in a different file, to be able to switch them on/off and to change them as you like.
You just rename the file to meet your video file name. For example:
For "Movie.avi", you change the name of your subtitle file to "Movie.xyz" where xyz is your subtitle format, be it srt or ssa or sub, etc
Be sure to install VSFilter or VobSub to be able to overlay the subs on the video with any player.
Else, you could just merge your files to one MKV file using the appropriate Matroska tool (mkvmerge). This is very fast, doesn't require compression, and you keep everything in one file.

thanks guys as soon as i saw your comments i looked around ffdshow and used xvid for the saved uotput file ,i intend to research all of the features to stop asking silly questions ok .
last Q is ffdshow the best software to clean up poor quality movies ?
