View Full Version : Bugs in Haali Matroska splitter

I'm having big problems using Haali's splitter with .TS HDTV files. Audio sync is WAAAAAAY off on a lot of 1080 interlaced material. If I use HDTVPump to split .TS files I have no problems with audio sync. But then I lose the ability to split H.264 .TS files because HDTVPump only seems to work correctly with MPEG2 transport streams and keeps sending H.264 video to MPEG2 decoders instead.

The other problem is when Haali is set to split .TS files it completely messes up the aspect ratio of some HD clips. For instance a 1280x1088i clip with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 it squashes from the sides to a 4:3 ratio putting black bars down the sides. HDTVPump does not do this and correctly sets the aspect ratio as broadcast.

I cannot find an easy way to report these problems to the developer. The links from Haali's website are rather cryptic. I don't want to sign up to the Matroska mailing list in order to report this.
