Hey Guys !
OK! I know the main rule about asking for the BEST settings / programs etc is not allowed. However this question is slightly different.
I am currently testing CCE on Species 2 PAL R2 DVD. It's standard 16:9 and using an AviSynth script I am feeding this to CCE with the script basically loading the mpeg2source and doing a BilinearResize to 480x576.
I am trying to get the video down to 700MB for 90 minutes and I have run tests with HC and tMpgEnc and all comes out great.
The problem is with HC every few sections comes out extremely blocky. I thought maybe this is the detail of the frame the encoder won't do for such a low bitrate, but as I scanned through the movie I noticed either detail levers higher or the same came out great as well.
The question is, what am I missing. Surely there is a setting or slider I am not utilising properly ?
Can anyone please help with ideas or tweaks to push CCE that little bit further.
Oh, sorry, I am using CCE SP2.70.02.06
Thanks for any help
