I'm interested, does anybody knows why a ffdshow audio decoder has a problems with the some avi containers, mounted with the mp3 audio, which are encoded from the wmv A/V to xvid/mp3.
Especially I see the problems with a video materials created by the PRIDE and K1 fun's from the Asia.
Its about a crazy Jitter, or in some cases, Jitter with a exponential rising or dropping ms audio values.
It could be that ffdshow audio process some MP3 streams with variable or rising/dropping Jitter, in the first case Jitter can fluctuate something like this, -12, -33, 0, +16, +33, -8, +60, and if the increased or decreased fluctuation range is higher than 100ms or if the jitter hit the +100ms or -100ms value, than the video speed will up to the correct sync point and audio will jump out of sync for the some ms with 100ms of accelerated sound(like small pop in the sound, and this situation will continue in rounds, round by round till the end of video.
Second case is a situation where the Jitter is only exponential raised or dropped in rounds (from 1-100ms, in 1ms steps or from -1 to -100ms) till it pop the 100ms(or in case of a dropping it will hit the -100ms), and you will have the same effect like I explained above for the crazy Jitter, and this situations is continuous trough the whole video.
If you change the audio decoder (like lowering the ffdshow audio merit or unticking the MP3 from ffdshow audio codec list) and if you use any other audio codec, standard MP3, lame, cyberlink, intervideo, nero or any other capable of decoding Mp3, they will process both audio types (crazy or rising/dropping) in a normal manner without any problems.
I use mainly BSplayer, MPC, Zoom player, I tried around 50 ffdshow versions, I'm using Haali media splitter (tried last 4 versions)
Do you know what could be the reason for this problem?
I have Creative Audigy 2 NX/USB2.0 (I tried to process audio in direct sound or waveout)
