In the past i have Transmuxed some .avi or .ogm video files i wonted to save on HDD, into .mkv using VdubMod. (Cause MKV usess less disk space then those other containers)
Iv been told MKVtoolNix is better, and iv also tested and found it also produces a tad smaller total file size. (prolly either cause its more uptodate or more efficent/better then Vdub, but anyway....)
So is it a good idea or bad idea? to re-transmux these files from (vdub.mkv) to (mkvtoolnix.mkv).
[i assume the data streams themself are not altered (due to my limited knoledge) except for the orantation or the way there stored within the container.] So am i correct? and will this not risk any problems or complications with the files from Re-Transmuxing them? Thx.
