Difference between what?

"SLI" is a method of using two video cards on a single computer in order to increase graphics ability. The only thing you need is an SLI motherboard and two matching video cards.

There is no difference. It's just ignorant marketing people not knowing which terminology to use.

The only thing to know about SLI is that some boards impliment it with 2 x8 slots (like mine), some with 2 variable slots (most) that will be x16 on the main slot if single card, x8 on both in SLI mode, and some have full time dual x16.

The performance difference is nill in all cases, as x8 is more than enough for any graphics card AFAIK.

Also the 7300gt can do SLI without a bridge connector.

SLI is kinda a waste of $ unless you absolutely have to get the baddest gaming system EVER. Getting an SLI board thinking you will drop in another video card next year is kinda silly. Did anyone drop another 6800gt into their systems? Hell no, we all went out and bought 7900gt's and so you see...

If you are planning on putting together an SLI rig with 7300gt's right off the bat...

Don't :)

Unless of course you need 4 monitors and want the option of using one monitor with SLI for occasional gaming, in which case rock on.

The performance from a single 7600gt will be much better in games :)
