Hi Guys,
Is it a simple`ish task to replace an existing audio track on an authored DVD with a substitute track.? (ie..So the Authored DVD looks and plays like the original albeit with different Audio Track)
Basically i wish you re-author my Manga Cyber City OEDO 808 DVD with the audio taken from my VHS Versions. (anyone knowing the difference will know why i wish this.. ie..DVD = Awful Audio : VHS = Rory Mcfarlane Audio :) ).. Note. Yes i could just play the VHS versions on a video or just capture the whole video/audio and transfer to DVD,but the VHS PQ is looking kinda bad these days (Tape is near 10years old ,and has been played in cheapo VCR over the years)
I have captured and ripped/converted(AC3) the Audio from the VHS versions, and basically wish you replace the English Audio Track from the DVD with my VHS Versions.
I realise it would be my job to make sure i correct Audio sync issues to match original DVD Video.
I thinking maybe IfoEdit or PgcEdit.?
Any Hints would be most appreicated .
Cheers

Thanks for That Les,
That works fine for each Episode on the disk (Their are 3 episodes on the DVD)
How could i adjust/substitute Audio Track1 on each episode and still have a single disk vob/vts/01/02 output..?
ie.. Currently if i Demux/Remux audio (using PGC/Muxman) i end with 3 separate directorys (each episode) with a rebuilt ifo/vob for each episode.
I would like to replace the English audio on all 3 episodes, and still retain the original layout of the DVD (only with replaced audio track 1 on each episode)
Am i asking too much.?.. or just being Stupid?..

Assuming you have 3 titles in a single VTS, perhaps VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) can come to your aid.
Once you have the 3 re-authored titles, simply use VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm)'s replace function to replace the original titles with the re-authored ones.
Note: Make sure you redo the TimeMap for the VTS in PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html), as VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) has a little bug in this respect.

Blutach ,that worked great
I was able to replace the english audio tracks on all 3 episodes ,whilst keeping the original layout of the DVD.
I first demuxed each episode using PgcDemux (mode:PGC / PGC Selection: Titles / Demux Video),i did this for each episode .
I then used MuxMan,adding the .m2v plus my substitute audio track on Audio1,the original DVD had 1 English and 1 Japanese Audio track,so i added the original Japanese to Audio2, i re-added the extracted subs + chapters, then rebuilt the vob`s (did this for all 3 episodes)
Opened Pgedit , OPEN DVD,then pointed to vobs created by Muxman, selected title1,then Title/Rebuild Time Maps for Current VTS
/ Save DVD (did each episode)
Fired up VOBblanker, loaded the original VIDEO_TS.IFO,selected the VTS_01_*.vob fron the titleset, then used Replace for selected PGC,and pointed it too vob`s created by Muxman (replaced all 3 PGC`s)
Hit Process, and the completed Vob`s play exactly like the original DVD albeit with a substituted Audio1 track on each episode.
Which is exactly what i wanted.
Thanks.

Hello Blutach.
I'm using your method for demuxing an ac3 stream from the original dvd and rebuild with a new ac3 stream. Everything is working fine except that when i try to replace the VTS_20 with the new VTS created with MUXMAN, VobBlanker says that is unable to do that cause the originale dvd is multi-angle.
The dvd structure is:
The main movie is in VTS_20 and has 3 PGC
PGC 1 is main movie extended version and has 2 angles
-> first angle is to show the titles in english language
-> second angle is to show titles in italian
PGC 2 is the main movie in normal version and has (like the other PGC) 2 angles
-> first angle is to show the titles in english language
-> second angle is to show titles in italian
Any idea?
Thanks

Can you decide which angle you might wish to keep and strip it?
Otherwise I am pretty sure DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php) can help.
