I just checked with Doom9, he told me this freeware program is even in his download section, but not latest version.

It offers

- menu creation
- chapter creation
- mux/demux MPEG
- CUE/BIN file creation
- direct burning ( CD-DRAO, freeware burner, not very stable though )

As i didnt want to use I-Author for chapter creation i did this with TSCV now a few times and liked the possibilities it is offering. Any reasons why not to use it ? Every comment is useful ...

HI,

I use TSCV all the time. The only thing is that I use TSCV 0.74 rather than other versions because I once tried 0.82 and noticed a bug that prevented me from accessing more than the 2 first chapters on final SVCD.
But with TSCV 0.74, it is really 'piece of cake' to produce great SVCDs with chapters.

When I use it for DVD to SVCD, I usually rip the DVD with SmartRipper 2.40, which produces an info file along with the ripped Vobs. You can then import this info file in TSCV so that it automatically creates the same chapters as in the original DVD.
I used it over about 20 SVCDs so far and it really works fine.

Have fun and don't hesitate to ask me for more information if you need it.

Thank you very much indeed, i didnt know about the trick with the IFO, using Smartripper all the time, IFOs are copied to HDD.

Try latest version of 0.82, did work fine regarding chapters, no probs.

BEware ! I'm not talking about the .IFO file, but about the info file that SmartRipper creates when you rip in movie mode. This is a ".txt" file. This is the one you must use with TSCV.

Have fun.
