Power DVD 7/WMP10 corrupt video playback?

As you can see from the picture above, this is what DVD playback looks like in PowerDVD 7 and WMP 10. The video plays clear for a few seconds then corrupt for a few seconds etc, etc.

So I can't watch DVD's on my PC, they play fine in my standalone. I uninstalled an reinstalled PowerDVD 7 but it was the same, so it looks like a codec problem, but where the heck do you start pinpointing the problem?

I have no 'codec' packs installed but just recently upgraded to WMP 10 though, could that be the problem?

Any suggestions please?

Look in the PowerDVD Settings and disable any hardware acceleration option you may find there.

Always thought Hardware Acceleration helped playback? I'm sure I had it enabled on PowerDVD 6 and never had a problem. Oh well, learned something anyway:

If worked yesterday don't mean it will work today :)

PowerDVD bugs, video driver bugs, graphic card bugs, directx bugs... who knows ?! The only thing that matters is to make it work properly again. ^^
