deinterlace questions

DV(=50i) is the source
1. is possible to get 25p using mvbob and not use the slow way mvbob, select even?
2. scharfi annonced new deinterlacer http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=113921 -any news?
3. can be mvbob modded somehow to increse the speed (for my DV sources). maybee a bit worse quality...
i like mvbob because of its quality, but the speed ;(

1. no. (You're asking for bobbing without bobbing.)
2. no. (rather the other way round.)
3. no. ("a bit worse" --> use TDeint)

Rule of thumb:
Lada is cheap. Ferrari is expensive. If the Lada isn't good enough and it has to be the Ferrari, then it WILL get expensive. Period.
