I'm using MPC, k-lite codec pack.
I have a special mpg file.
If I use Cyberlink mpeg directshow filter, I can't open the mpg file but I can if I use MainConcept or Liogs filter
I dont understand. Cyberlink is a mpeg filter but it can't open the mpg file . I thought that all mpeg filter can open mpg file.
Can you tell me the reason ?
Thank you very much !

are you saying that you can open all other mpeg files and not this particular file ?
if so... try analyzing with gspot or mediainfo... could be a broken mpeg or not an mpeg

yes . ! I used MediaInfo to analyse that file. MediaInfo says that it is a mpeg file
If I use Cyberlink filter, MPC says that it can't render the file

I don't think so ! If I use Mainconcept filter, I can ope that file.

I'm using haali splitter. If I open a mp4 file, haali icon will appear at systemtray immediately .
If I use Cyberlink filter and open that file, there is no icon which be added at systray and MPC says " can not render the file.. "

Hi!Cyberlink is a mpeg filter but it can't open the mpg file.(I presume you're referring to the MPEG filter/codec that's part of PowerDVD) Are you able to play ANY MPEGs with this filter?
If not (similar to using the WinDVD .AC3 codec/filter for other-than-WinDVD playback), it likely has to be "registered" with Windows, as in the following example:
Desktop>>Start>>Run Then type: c:\windows\system\regsvr32 iviaudio.ax (Replace "iviaudio.ax" with the name of your filter/codec)

Do you mean Cyberlink filter ?
This filter is the default filter which K-lite can install so I always use this filter. I never used other filters .
I ever watched a thousand of mpeg filter because I'm using computer for a long time .
I have just tried to use Ligos or Mainconcept... when I try to open that mpeg file
