/add: For those that would like a braindead simple way of encoding multiple Avi files onto a standard DVD for playing in their hardware dvd players which are not mpeg4 capable.
I think Mr_Odwin's FAVC has not been reported on the D9 news page, or perhaps it just slipped by me. He just added multicore support. More info:
