DVD2SVCD gives slightly too big file

Hi there!
I encoded the Movie "Wag The Dog" (93 mins) with VBR/4 Pass and 96Khz Audio. DVD2SVCD (the latest release) created two MPEG Files (i wanted to burn them myself using Nero)... but the first one is slightly too big to fit on a 80mins CD.
Is there any possibility to "cut" this a little (perhaps I could leave a bit of the opening section out), and how can I prevent things like this happening in the future?
Thank alot in advance!

You can try reducing the CD size in the bitrate tab. Cutting a CD image is not possible.
However, how big is your CD image? Keep in mind a 80min CD-R will take about 798megs SVCD data ...

Hi Smiller!
Thanks for your reply :)
In fact, i did not let DVD2SVCD create any Image file, so I hav ethe BBMPEG Muxed .MPEG Files here. The first on eis about 799 MBs, and für Nero this means that this file is a little bit too big for a normal 80 mins CD.
The second file is 792 MB, and this fits perfectly.
In the bitrate Tab: Which Bitrate should I reduce? The 'Max' or the 'Max Average' Value?

You can change the size of the CD :) ... set it to 799 or 798 perhaps. You can also do this by editing the .d2s project file. Otherwise, try overburning in Nero.
Changing the bitrate would mean a complete re-encode of your project, and I don't think you really want to do that ...

none. Just reduce the CD size to 790, typping this number into the right box.

...ore try to burn the file with WinonCD. Most times WinonCD accepts a file which is a little too big for Nero. I don't know why, but most times it worked for me.
Or you can cut the last few seconds with the credits. For this I use TMPGEnc.
