I haven't used fairuse for quite a few months but I came back to it today but whnever i run it I get the following error:-

The instruction at "0x10008d71" referenced memory at ""0x10008d71". The memory could not be "read". click OK to terminate / cancel to debug.

I didn't get this before though may have been using win98 when i last ran it. This occurs on 2 different pc's both running win2k.

anyone know why this is. (The search is disabled??? prohibiting me seeing if this has come up befoe apologies if it has)

running win2k server + fu v0.3

TIA

I haven't seen this problem before. I would have suggested some sort of hardware problem, except you report that it occurs on two different machine. FairUse works fine for me on Windows 2000 Professional, but maybe there is a problem with Win2K Server. Any reports from other users using Win2K Server would be appreciated.

I have dual boot on this machine though havent used win98 for a while. I copied the fairuse files to the win98 partition (all other partitions are ntfs now). anyway it worked fine on win98 so i don't think it is the machine config, though The 2 machines do actually have the same win2k server installed as i used drive image to replicate it (both via chipsets) but everything else works fine on it.

I wondered if maybe it might be an aspi problem?. Also the win2k machine being single cpu i made it computer = normal pc not acpi

it bombs immideatly on run though the intial dos box and fairuse welcome screen DO appear. i can enter vc++ debugger but don't really know where 2 begin.
