I have a new computer (XP, SP2 fully updated) with a Asus EN7600GS Slient/HTD GeForce 7600 GS video card. It came installed with the Nvidia 82.41 drivers and Directx 9.0c installed.

After installing the 91.41 NVidia drivers, all but the Haali renderers (VMR7,9 and Overlay) fail to work in MPC. The video 'plays', but nothing is actually shown. The same thing happens in graphedit and WMP. DxDiag indicates everything is fine. If I turn off Directx acceleration, then the renderers work. Going back to the 82.41 drives restores the full functionality of the renderers.

I tried to re-install Directx 9.0c, but it just says everything is installed and doesn't really do anything.

Is there anything I can do to get Directx 9.0c video working with the new Nvidia drivers?

Why did you update the drivers?

This type of thing is very common. Wait for the next version of drivers to roll out and give them a try. You could try hacked drivers but they have issues too. I think omega makes nforce drivers.

Maybe they fixed it in 91.48 WHQL or 92.91beta.
