Hi,
I am a newbie to using AutoGK. It seems that when I have the .vob files transferred to two .avi formated files (cd1 and cd2), they can only be copied to a cd-rw. A cd-r copy of one of the .avi files makes my computer freezes up. Do I have to use cd-rw discs all the time? My cd-r's are 700mb 80 min 24 x speed. The cd-rw are 700 mb 80 min 4x speed. I use Easy CD Creator to burn the files.
My second problem is that when I have 5 to 6 .vob files in a folder without an IFO file, and even sometime with one, AutoGK only processes the first .vob file. I can not click and drag to choose all the files for a project. Only one at a time.
If any one has an answer to these problems I would appreciated it.
Thanks,
Pvbrat1

Hi and welcome to the forum,

This is unusual, can you give more infos on burning prog, burning speed and CD brand used ?

My second problem is that when I have 5 to 6 .vob files in a folder without an IFO file, and even sometime with one, AutoGK only processes the first .vob file. I can not click and drag to choose all the files for a project. Only one at a time.
AGK FAQ n° 6.12:
"How can I add more than one file to encode in File mode?
- just put them in one directory and name them *_1.*; *_2.* etc. They will be picked up automatically. This only works for mpeg1, mpeg2 and vob files but not for AVI files."
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72679
ex: myfile_1.vob myfile_2.vob etc...

Thanks for the input. I use Durabrand CD-R's and Easy CD Creator by Samsung for burning. I mentioned the speeds and capacities in my first post.
I found it interesting that when I tried to burn several short .VOB files that came to less than an hour of original content, I was able to use the 1 cd setting and a CD-R and everything worked.
I also tried to use Nero Burning Rom for a two disc burn but the software seems to only create an "image" but never burns to the CD.
Any more suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Just thought I would update this thread if anyone else has this problem. It seems that Easy CD Creator is the problem. The software is by Samsung and came with my cd burner hardware. After adding the files you want to burn you have to check the "test and burn option". Then hit the burn button. Why, I don't know, but I can now record to regular CD-R's that will play back.
I also tried the file renaming suggestion from BigDid in the thread and it seems to work as well.
Thank you for your help,
